In this time of craziness, how we celebrate a milestone or honor a friend or show support to a family member, can look a little different than it used to.
I was invited to one of these very special gatherings today honoring Pam Richey. Pam was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Tomorrow she is getting her port put in for chemo.
Her family and friends wanted to gather to show their support and love for her. With social distancing, a group can’t really get together, unless each group is 6 feet apart. So her friends and family gathered at a nearby elementary school – in their cars!
I’m not sure what Holly told her mom, but I don’t think she was prepared for all the love she was about to get coming down the street. Police sirens, horns honking, friends and family shouting “We Love You!” The support was phenomenal.
If you would like to give Pam a note of encouragement, please feel free to click on the “comment” link above. If survival is based upon love, she has nothing to fear.
Namaste, y’all
Lori, the Blissful Granny
