2020 has been the craziest year!! Not only did we experience the first pandemic of our lifetime, but we saw a lot of crazy stuff! There were wildfires, protests, bombings, murder hornets, the death of a Supreme Court Justice (among other notable legends), a new president and a ceiling breaking new vice president. Lest we forget a royal couple quit the royal family.
Many of us have been quarantined inside our homes, masks have now become a fashion accessory and we haven’t gotten to spend much time with extended family and friends.
As a way to document this crazy year, I embarked on a journey to photograph Southern Indiana families outside of their homes while social distancing – From 6 Feet Away.
I have compiled many of the images into a soft cover coffee table book. The book documents families and many have shared their own personal story. Since I started photographing the book, some participants have had children, others are now expecting, some have gotten COVID-19 and, unfortunately, at least one person has passed on.
The book will be published in Mid December and we are now taking pre-orders. You can view a few of the pages below. The soft cover book is over 60 pages of full color photos. These will be a fun Christmas gift and a great way to remember this crazy year.
